SKAYFALL - James Bond Skyfall

Skyfall es una canción interpretada por la cantante británica Adele como tema central de la vigésima tercera película de James Bond, Skyfall. La intérprete la compuso junto a Paul Epworth quien también la produjo. «Skyfall» se lanzó el 5 de octubre de 2012 por medio de las discográficas XL Recordings y Columbia Records en iTunes a las 12:07 a.m. del horario de verano británico, dando inicio así al «Día Global de James Bond», el cual coincidió con el quincuagésimo aniversario del estreno de Dr. No, el primer filme de la saga Bond.

El 10 de enero de 2013 se anunciaron las nominaciones a los premios Óscar, donde «Skyfall» también figuró entre las candidatas en la categoría Mejor canción original. Durante la ceremonia de los premios realizada el 24 de febrero, Adele interpretó la canción en la que fue su primera actuación en un año. Finalmente, Adele y Paul Epworth recibieron el galardón de la Academia convirtiendo a «Skyfall» en la única canción de la saga Bond que ha ganado este premio, y la segunda en toda la historia en ganar conjuntamente el Globo de Oro y el Oscar (la primera fue Into the West).
