Devil Came to Me es el segundo álbum de estudio de la banda de rock española Dover, publicado el 21 de abril de 1997. Consiguió su primer disco de oro por las 50 000 copias vendidas del álbum.

La canción que da nombre al disco se utilizó tanto en una recopilación de canciones de grupos reveladores del momento, bajo el nombre de Pepsi The Next Generation (1998), como en el anuncio de una marca de refrescos norteamericana, Radical Fruit Company.

«Genie in a Bottle»  es la canción debut de la cantante pop estadounidense Christina Aguilera de su álbum debut homónimo Christina Aguilera de RCA Records. Fue lanzado el 22 de junio de 1999 y con esta canción la convirtió en el nacimiento del nuevo icono de la cultura pop y gracias a ello el sencillo logró posicionarse número 1 en países como Austria, Bélgica, Canadá, Dinamarca, Noruega, España, Reino Unido y Estados Unidos donde encabezó la lista Billboard Hot 100 durante cinco semanas convirtiéndola en unas de las pocas cantantes en tener un número 1 en aclamada lista son su canción debut y también en otros numerosos países.

The Fugees fue un grupo de música estadounidense de mediados de los 90. Su repertorio incluye sobre todo hip hop, con algo de soul y reggae. Los miembros del grupo son el líder/rapero/productor Wyclef Jean, la rapera/cantante Lauryn Hill y el rapero Pras Michel. Tanto Jean como Michel tienen ascendencia haitiana: Hill es afroestadounidense, de South Orange, New Jersey. El nombre del grupo viene de la palabra "refugee" (refugiado).

The Fugees obtuvieron dos Grammy en 1997: The Score como Mejor Álbum de Rap y "Killing Me Softly With His Song" como Mejor R&B Interpretación por un dúo o grupo.
